Each letter is worth a certain number of points. The value of the letter is displayed at the bottom right hand corner of the letter tile

You can earn more points by placing a tile on a multiplier (Double Letter, Double Word, Triple Letter, or Triple Word).

Also note that Tile Values increase every round.
